The Edinburgh International Festival is under way for 2019.

The opening event was a free open-air concert in Tynecastle Stadium (the home of Heart of Midlothian Football Club) for 15,000 people. The concert was inspired by the LA Philharmonic’s performances at the Hollywood Bowl.
